Duties and responsibilities include project design, development, construction, remodel, start-up, expansion, administration, regulatory compliance, franchising, on-going management, finance, deal structure, strategic partnerships, sales, marketing, project and product innovation, new technology, accounting services, business affairs, business strategies, customer service, employee relations, public relations, social media (global reach), branding, distribution, etc.
Kent Schmidt is the eldest son of parents, who were nursing home and assisted living industry pioneers – starting in the “industry” in the 1960’s and a second-generation, multiple-facility owner, developer, operator, Licensed Kansas Adult Care Home Administrator and consultant with hands-on experience in essentially every aspect (except nursing though mother was a Registered Nurse) of the senior care industry – from pre-development, design and construction of nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, memory care and / or independent living through on-going operations (including maintenance) and ultimately to the sale of those facilities.
Kent Schmidt and Keith Schmidt are highly experienced (70 years+ combined) owners of KeSsh Construction, Repair It Build It, and ABC Plumbing. They attended local schools and lived in the Wichita, KS area for most of their lives. Growing up in a family of senior care pioneers, they have been heavily involved in the development, operations, administration, repair, and maintenance of many residential and commercial properties.
Kent Schmidt is a licensed Kansas Adult Care Home Administrator with 35+ years of hands-on industry experience.
KeSch Construction also assists senior citizens and / or their caregivers in preserving their family’s generational wealth by way of remodeling their houses to create aging-in-place functionality — which prevents or delays the significant long-term expense required to live in a senior care facility.
KeSch Construction also specializes in stay-at-home, aging-in-place upgrades and creates the necessary functional environments for senior citizens. Aging-in-place upgrades include: therapy tubs, chairlifts, handicap showers, toilets and lavatories, ramps, doorway enlargements, functional kitchens, laundry relocated to first floor, safe flooring materials, and so on…
